Hello and Happy Mother's Day!

Oops. It has been more than a month since I posted something. I just came back from Beijing and Hong Kong almost two weeks ago and I'm still adjusting the time difference. Plus, I'm just lazy :) I'm planning to have a separate post about my trip so please look forward to it! :)

Anyways, today is mother's day and this is the card I made for my momma (see below).

Family and I celebrated my momma's birthday on Monday. I made two cards for my mom this year! The first one is a random drawing of the family wearing some kind of party hat? haha Don't ask, I drew this around 3:30am :P

This is her second card (see below). I love everything about this card! The deep purple, lace, pearls, and lime green embellishment match well together. Most importantly, my mom loves it too!

I'm Making Christmas Cards!

Hello! I'm back! I was quite occupied with my school work for the past two weeks, but now that Fall semester just ended on Tuesday, it feels great to catch up on my sleep and to relax!

Anyways, since I didn't participate any craft fairs this year, I have decided to make Holiday cards! This is my first time so I'm quite excited and overwhelmed at the same time. I have a lot to make...I just love my friends, families, and co-workers :)

I just started today, so this is what I have so far (see picture below). Yeap, I made zero cards as of now...my supplies are still in the box. I'd better get cracking...

The weekend is just around the corner...and so is Christmas! :O

Pictures from 8th Annual Community Craft Fair

I had wonderful time at the 8th Annual Community Craft Fair yesterday. I'm so happy and grateful that my friends and families came to visit me! This was my second craft fair that I have participated in and I learned so much each time. I'll start off with some pictures and you can read my experience at the end of this post. Enjoy!

Baby cousin's first birthday

Yesterday was my baby cousin's first birthday party at a recreation centre that was close to home. There were lots of fun activities to do for the kids like floor hockey and basketball. It was a barnyard themed party so I tried to make a card to match this fun party idea. Unfortunately, I don't have any farm animals supplies, so zoo animals will do! :) So everyone, please say hello to Happy the Hippopotamus and Goofy the Giraffe!

Friday: Kitty Kommotion at Gossip Nightclub

I don't go to clubs that often, but if Hello Kitty is there...I'm there too! The only exciting part was the Kitty Kastle for VIP ticket holders. The exclusive VIP area included a beauty section for pampering such as makeovers and manicures. I got my make up done by Glamstar Beauty & Nails, the girlfriends got their hair curled, and a makeup artist applied false eyelashes on A. There was also a section with Hello Kitty inspired sweet treats (surprisingly too sweet for me and BN!).

Overall, the event did not meet my expectations. Mainly because they stated that will be "hip hop, mashups, korean & jap." I didn't hear any Kpop and Jpop that night, so I was quite disappointed. I think I had more fun getting ready...Anyway, enjoy my photo collage :) Click for a larger view!

Happy Birthday To My Mom!

Happy Birthday, Mom!!! <3



Last year, my brothers and I bought my mom a spa package that included a massage, manicure, and a pedicure. We drove around Richmond to find the best and affordable spa for mom. I thought it was best gift for her! Unfortunately, that gift was epic fail. She said she didn’t like this kind of “stuff” and that we don’t know her at all. I was quite upset and I’m sure she was too =*(

But not to worry! This year we redeemed ourselves! First, we went out to a lovely all you can eat sushi, mom’s favourite! That’s five points for us. Second, my brothers and I got her a leather wallet from Fossil. That’s twenty points, but minus five points for not buying her a cake. Lastly, Dad bought her a really cute Coach purse! That’s like one billion points for my dad!


I heart my mom.

• She wakes up the same time as me just to make me breakfast and drive me to the skytrain.
• She likes to shop and watch dramas, just like me.
• She knows when not to bother me when I’m not in a good mood.
• She cooks according to what we like: broccolis for brothers and the only stem for me =)
• And, she nags here and there...just like all moms =D
  

I made this card just for her. It doesn't look like it, but it took me about two hours. Measuring took the longest because I want this card to be perfect!
