I want to show you guys my Halloween costume that I made this year! I was itching to craft and sew so I thought that dressing up as Russell from the movie UP is a fun idea.

Ideas for Father's Day 2010

Father's Day is tomorrow! I have no idea what to make yet so hopefully this post will help me get started...and hopefully give you some ideas.

1. Daddy's Pocket
   
   
   I'm loving cards with pockets! It's great for holding tags and photos! I made one for A's birthday...maybe I'll make one for my dad.

2. Button-Down Father's Day Card
   
   
   I made my dad a fancy jacket suit card last year, so maybe this year I can make him a casual shirt :D The shirt on the right is cute! It has a jacket with lapels and a pocket with a handkerchief.

Ideas for Mother's Day 2010

Mother's Day is this Sunday! Tomorrow is my day off, so I'm planning to shop for my momma :) Knowing my mom, she might tell me to return the gift, but I'm pretty sure she's not going to return my handmade card for her! lol! I found some cute cards that I might actually want to make.

1. Purse-onal Greetings

   Although this is not my style, I think this card is really pretty! Maybe one day I can make pretty cards like this one.

   This is more like my style! It's cute and the colours are nice and bright. I'm not loving the font because it looks like it's blending into the background, but other than that...I like the layout of it. This is also from Free-CardMaking.

Spring Cleaning

Remember my messy room with craft supplies all over the floor? Well, it's gone! I can actually call it my craft corner! Cleaning and organizing took a long time, but it was worth it! I'm quite proud of myself :) Take a look...



Isn't it beautiful? :*) The first drawer has my important tools like my craft knife, cutting board, scissors, and glitter glue! The second drawer is my favourite because of the colours of the ribbons and punches! And the ribbons are in order by colour :P (see picture below). The third drawer contains stickers, envelopes, and blank cards with envelopes. And the last drawer has patterned cardstock and scrapbook papers.


I'm so excited! Cleaning is going to be super easy and fast! I would like to thank my older brother for donating this lovely drawer. THANKS!

And best of all....



I CAN SEE MY CARPET!!!!

Ideas for Father's Day

father's day is this sunday! did you make a card for your dad yet? ...i haven't :( lol but i found some pretty cool projects that i really like... i like it so much that i might pick one and make it :) check it out!

   here's another super cool card. this one requires a bit more work than the first card, but not to worry! ...because Fiskars Crafts provided some step-by-step directions.

   instead of a card, make your dad a paper picture frame! (no need to buy him a picture frame!) =) again, i found this project at Martha Stewart's Website. click for more details and instructions!

Ideas for Mother's Day

This is a friendly reminder that Mother's Day is this Sunday.

I thought Mother's Day was last week, so if this reminder doesn't work for you...then it's only for me. lol

So, did you buy your mom a nice gift(s)? If so, that's great! But to win some extra points, why not make her a card!? I found some easy and fun projects that will make your mom smile :)

1. Mother's Day Card
   
   
   This looks a bit complicated, but if you ignore the stitches and use printed papers and stickers...you can make a card similar to that.

2. Photograph Card For Mom
   
   
   The cards in the middle and on the right side are quite simple to make. If you're familiar with scrapbooking then this should be a piece of chocolate cake to you! :) Just add some stickers and a thoughtful message with a photograph and you're done!

3. Precious Hands For Mom
   
   
   I remember doing this when I was little and it was super fun! Your mom will treasure this gift forever... I have proof because my mom still does :) I recommend this project for kids, but that shouldn't stop you if you're not a kid! ;)
