Sunday Craft Fairs: Got Craft? and Make It!

This morning bff and I went to two craft fairs! The first one was Got Craft? Spring Show at the Royal Canadian Legion (2205 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC). The local vendors really wowed us with their handmade products like jewelries, ceramics, clothing, etc! It started at 10am and the first 30 people received a free, handmade swag bag stuffed full of small samples from all of the vendors! Unfortunately we were not one of the first 30 people :( I can see why some people would line up three hours for this event...I mean, LOOK at all the goodies! I will definitely line up for their Holiday Show in December! (and hopefully bff will come too!)





The second craft show was make it! Vancouver at The Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver BC). This one has more varieties to shop for and look at, but it didn't wow me as much as the first craft show because the products seem to target more to the older audience. Other than that, it was really inspiring to see so many talented people! Also, the first 25 shoppers get a free goodie bag! This time, we were the first 25 people! The goodie bag wasn't as great as the swag bag mentioned earlier, but hey...it was free! and I like free stuff! :)

Good News, Everyone!

There's going to be a new Michaels Craft Store opening this Fall 2010! This new location is a lot closer to the one I always go to. With less time traveling to places, I can shop even longer! :D My bff told me this a while ago and I finally got to see the sign in person!

To the Best Pair!

A friend of mine just recently got engaged during the holidays and I finally got to see her last week for her birthday! For the newly engaged couple, I've made them a simple, but detailed, card. Glitter glue was carefully added onto the borders, the dash lines, and the outlines of the hearts :) And I finished it with a pretty embellishment of a pair of matching rings.

You don't have to restrict yourself in using pre-made borders. You can make your own! What I like to do is use a nice scrapbook paper with border-like designs on it...like this one:


Then I measure how much I need, cut it, and decorate it!

Spring Cleaning

Remember my messy room with craft supplies all over the floor? Well, it's gone! I can actually call it my craft corner! Cleaning and organizing took a long time, but it was worth it! I'm quite proud of myself :) Take a look...



Isn't it beautiful? :*) The first drawer has my important tools like my craft knife, cutting board, scissors, and glitter glue! The second drawer is my favourite because of the colours of the ribbons and punches! And the ribbons are in order by colour :P (see picture below). The third drawer contains stickers, envelopes, and blank cards with envelopes. And the last drawer has patterned cardstock and scrapbook papers.


I'm so excited! Cleaning is going to be super easy and fast! I would like to thank my older brother for donating this lovely drawer. THANKS!

Birthday Bee & Spring Time!

School is almost over! I planned some craft projects for me to do before Summer Semester starts. But first, I still owe my blog a birthday present, so I'll work on that first! I'm sorry :(

So before I can start on my fun craft projects, I'll have to clean my room. Sounds a bit silly, right? Well...here's a picture my "craft corner."

Kinda scary? I think it's time for me to organize my craft supplies! I'm hoping that I don't have to dig through the big pile of craft stuff and not trip when I look for clothes in my closet. I'm a bit excited of how this will turn out. This could be fun...or a disaster. I'll let you guys know soon! :)
