Michaels Arts & Crafts Grand Opening in Downtown Vancouver, BC

Yesterday was the grand opening day for the Michaels store located on Alberni and Burrad Street in Vancouver, BC. A and I went during the afternoon to check it out and take advantage of the "buy one and get one for one cent" promotion. I wish I took more pictures of the new store, but I was too busy shopping. Anyway, keep reading and see what I bought! :)

I thought that grand opening was well done and fun. There were big blue balloons that led customers to the new store, a local radio station for entertainment, and a spin-the-wheel for prizes.

I was told from an insider ;) that this store will have two floors. The first floor is the jewellery/beads section and classrooms. Once we got to the second level, I lost A so I dangerously shopped on my own. I was drooling in the Martha Stewart aisle for a long time because all the punches were 50% off!

Next, I went to the colourful scrap booking paper section.

Okay! Now, what did I get? First, I spun the wheel and won a Loew-Cornell stencil brush and an Americana Gloss Enamel in Baby Pink. I don't think I'll be using them though.

I saw this punch couple of weeks ago with A. I'm glad I waited to get it half off. The punch is so pretty!
