Did anyone see the Hello Kitty collection at MAC? Well, more like...did anyone receive the MAC postcard? =) ....I didn't =( But a wonderful friend of mine gave me hers! <3 It was sitting in my room...collecting dust for many days, so I thought maybe I make it more useful. The inside of the envelope gave me an idea...it's so cute! So why waste the pretty?
Materials Needed:
Double-sided tape/glue
Scissors/Craft knife
...that's all!
Not really a step =) Just showing the postcard and envelope.
Open both sides of the envelope. Try to open the sides as neatly as possible. As you can see, I did a messy job. lol
Cut along the middle. No need to use a ruler! Just follow the crease.
Use double-sided tape or glue to stick the Hello Kitty postcard onto the pink side of the envelope. Cut and follow the shape, leaving 0.5cm space between.
Use a black Sharpie to colour in the yucky white corners.
Lastly, stick Hello Kitty onto the black side using double-sided tape or glue.
TA DA! There you have it! You can gave it to a friend, make it into a card, or even frame it. But for me, I'm going to keep it for myself. It's way too cute! =)
I started this hobby not too long ago...almost 2 years now. Although my hands are not like Martha Stewart's hands, I think my cards are okay. I'll just have to keep practicing =) And as long as my friends and families enjoy receiving them, I'm happy to make simple cards. Who knows, maybe I can become someone like Martha Stewart...just ignore the stock scandal in 2004...teehee =) I just wish I can spend more time making cards, but school gets in the way most of the time.
Anyways, here are my top three most favourite cards (in no particular order):
Next time I will show how to make them. I'm just too lazy right now =)
Last year, my brothers and I bought my mom a spa package that included a massage, manicure, and a pedicure. We drove around Richmond to find the best and affordable spa for mom. I thought it was best gift for her! Unfortunately, that gift was epic fail. She said she didn’t like this kind of “stuff” and that we don’t know her at all. I was quite upset and I’m sure she was too =*(
But not to worry! This year we redeemed ourselves! First, we went out to a lovely all you can eat sushi, mom’s favourite! That’s five points for us. Second, my brothers and I got her a leather wallet from Fossil. That’s twenty points, but minus five points for not buying her a cake. Lastly, Dad bought her a really cute Coach purse! That’s like one billion points for my dad!
I heart my mom.
She wakes up the same time as me just to make me breakfast and drive me to the skytrain.
She likes to shop and watch dramas, just like me.
She knows when not to bother me when I’m not in a good mood.
She cooks according to what we like: broccolis for brothers and the only stem for me =)
And, she nags here and there...just like all moms =D
I made this card just for her. It doesn't look like it, but it took me about two hours. Measuring took the longest because I want this card to be perfect!
Hello! This blank blog is sadly under construction! =( I have an awesome idea of how this blog is going to look, but I have to put it together. It's harder than I thought!
This is not my first time using HTML. I have many years of experience, thanks to AsianAvenue (if anyone still remembers it...) and Xanga! Also, I'm taking a intro course to web design, so hopefully this will come rushing back to me =) well, that's all for now!
